Biomass Plant Operations, Engineering & Maintenance

Description: Designs, constructs, operates and / or maintains
plants that generate electricity from the combustion of
biomass

Salary: Expected to be similar to operations, engineering and
maintenance personnel at other facilities

Minimum Educational Requirement: Bachelor's degree or higher in
Engineering

Recommended College Coursework: Resource/Engineering, Computer Programming

Certification: Dependent on position sought

Experience Needed: High Level

Growth Potential: Good potential for growth alongside alternative fuel industry. EDD projects 3,000 new plant operators by 2016, some will be in biomass facilities
